Our

Story

so Far

Turn It Around is a registered Community Interest Company which provides creative intervention to young people across Merseyside.

Since we began is 2009, we have worked with many young people through creative group work sessions, one to one support and lots of positive encouragement. Our website gives an insight into what we do, where we work and how effectively we can engage with young people.

Turn it Around CIC was established in 2009, our original aim being to support girls and young women who were caught up in the Youth Offending Service. Since then we continue to support all young people with opportunities for enrichment.

We use a professional, experienced team of practitioners who are DBS (Police Checked) and who are highly skilled. We use a   peer mentor and  youth work approach.

In 2011/12 we piloted our service in a shop on Stanley Road Bootle, Merseyside, this worked well, helping us to establish ourselves in South Sefton. Now to keep overhead costs down, we work in a range of free settings.

Sometimes we work in a centre, sometimes on the streets where young people are at, sometimes in the South Park, a Training centre, an outdoor education centre and arts centre. It all depends upon the needs and interests of the young people.

Our Mission

Our mission: to divert children and young people from entering the youth justice system, to promote pro-social behaviour and help young people present the very best of themselves.

We aim to promote a sense of Well-Being through our bespoke, group work sessions and  one to one mentoring. Building trusting positive relationship to help young people grow in confidence.
